About Word Waves

Waves come in all shapes and sizes and at Word Waves I believe communication is just the same!

I promise to:

  • Celebrate strengths and use these to support and develop the tricky areas.

  • Set realistic, achievable goals using evidence based interventions and work towards enabling your child’s best communication.

  • Support, encourage and empower parents / carers / professionals to implement communication strategies through 1:1 activities and everyday routines.

  • Take the pressure off and have fun as we brave the wave to better communication together.

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic ensuring goals are functional and tailored to your child’s individual needs.

I believe in the importance of working with family, carers, education staff to help establish communication friendly environments for your child.

I also believe that learning new skills is best done whilst having fun and therefore games, your child's interests, and laughter are always included within our sessions.

I ensure my CPD is up to date, in line with HCPC standards, I have regular supervision and hold a fully enhanced DBS.
